Saturday I was watching the Discovery Channel about the history of ancient Egypt and how they found the mummified body of Ramses and possibly the remains of Queen Nefertiti. It got me thinking about how these "powerful" and "great" leaders of their days perished and their mummifed bodies prove that they may have had power given to them by man, but they did not have the Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ that overcomes death, hell and the grave! How exciting and magnificent to know that we serve a RISEN LORD who was so humble and though man did not place power on a plate and give it to Him, He didn't blink an eye because He knew that true power came from the Father!

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he were dead, yet, he shall live.
He’s Risen!, He’s Alive!, He’s Lord!

The mummies of Pharaohs and Kings have been discovered and placed in museums
So I wondered about my Savior and Lord and what in His tomb is found within
Where the remains of great leaders and men with powerful titles have been placed for all to see
When you enter the tomb of the humble Savior you will find it to be empty
His body is not there, it’s nowhere to be found He reigns forevermore
Shout it from the rooftops
He’s Risen! He’s Alive! He’s Lord!
Death could not the hold Him, the grave could not keep Him – his body is no longer bound
I guess it’s true what they say - you can’t keep a good man down!
Yes His tomb is empty but his promises are full – He ever lives to intercede for his Bride
Because He lives we too will live and take our place at the Bridegroom’s side
Pilate could not silence Him, the Pharisees couldn’t stop Him – the devil lost the war
Shout it from the rooftops
He’s Risen! He’s Alive! He’s Lord!
