“I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord plans of good and not evil to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11



It is not easy to think about the future when there is so much going on right now. Living for God is not always easy and to think about the future is even harder. There was a women named Corrie Ten Bom who was held captive during World War II (in the 1940’s about) for the good her family had done. Though she was treated badly for the good her family had done, she was able to look to the future with hope. She had said that if you look around you will be distressed. If you look within you will be depressed, but if you look at Jesus you will be at rest. It is amazing how a young woman ike herself was able to endure such pain and still have hope. The truth is when we look at the world around us even some of our friends or teachers we can easily get distressed. It’s easy to worry about what others will think about us or what they will say about us. When we look at ourselves we only get depressed. There are so many things that we don’t like about ourselves or that we wish we could change about ourselves . This only depresses us and makes us unhappy. Corrie Ten Bom had it right. When we look at Jesus we are at rest. Maybe the reason we can rest is because in Jesus there is perfection. When we look to Jesus he is everything that we are not and only his uncondional love can satisfy us. This is why God tells us that he has a future and a hope for us. It is a future and a hope that we or anyone else can not give. Only God knows how to give us a future and a hope. The more we obey God the closer and closer we get to that future and that hope. Jesus is our hope and he is our future. One day we will be with him forever in heaven. God promises life that lasts forever for those who believe in Jesus Christ and trust in him with all their hearts.

Application:
*Memorize Jeremiah 29:11
*Pray and ask God to reveal to you his plans for you r life
*If this world is not your home and not your future then find at least one person to share Jesus with so that they to can have a future and a hope.

Where is your future and your hope? This world or God?
