Do we recall a hideous rage,
As we remember a face;
Do we desire them encaged,
While seeking for no grace?

Do we hear a screaming blow,
As metal strikes against metal;
Does a holy cry seem to show
An issue still unsettled?

Follow the sound, and see the Lord;
He’s crucified again;
This One we claim as our Adored,
Is shamed by our sin;

Behold a heart so acerbated;
The cancer in the Bride;
Tearing away her flesh so hated;
She’s chose not to abide;

Beware a root of bitterness,
By which defiles many,
Bred through unforgiveness,
Reaping sins aplenty.
