Touch me, Lord

Touch me Lord, for I’m alone and broken
Heal me Lord, with Your loving hand
Hold me Lord, in Your mighty strong arms
Carry me away to Your promised land

Cleanse my soul, wash me white as snow
Dry my tears, make everything alright
Give me hope and peace in my long journey
Bless me Lord, I pray to You tonight

I so long to see Your face in glory
Trials on earth fill me with despair
Loneliness, emptiness surround me
Touch me Lord, let me know You care

I am weak and can do nothing without You
Jesus come, and talk with me a while
Give me strength to carry on…..till that day
When You touch me Lord, in the sweet by and by

This is such a sad poem. It speaks to the heart of anyone going through pain. And the more I read of other people's things, the more I see pain and suffering. This plea to the Lord to touch you is from the heart, and I know it will bless many people.

My dear Sister, my heart ached as I read your prayer, not because I'm not 100% positive that God draws nearer to those who pray this way, but because I have cried out basically the same words more times than I care to count. But the I AM so faithfully lives up to His Name! And He's there... right there, waiting and willing to touch us, knowing our needs before the words ever leave our lips. And as soon as they do......... :) Sister, my name is Treava. There is a very long story behind my use of Joyce Pool and perhaps I'll post an explanation one day soon. In the meantime, I've been posting much lately. It's not something I like to do because I'm afraid of wearing out my readers. haha. Nevertheless, I am going to post something I've been putting off for that very reason right this minute. I think it will be quite timely.. quite timely indeed. I confess that I was not obedient and did not post it when it was given to me. But God's timing is PERFECT! You don't even have to read the whole thing... just scroll to the end. Because I believe there's a word there with YOUR name written all over it. (((((((hugs)))))))

Julia, isn't it wonderful to know that we can carry our burdens to the Lord and He will come and talk awhile? God hears our every cry and desires to fill every crevice of our hearts and minds with peace that can only come from Him...what an awesome God we have. Lucy
