Song Lyrics
Please forgive me for the repost. I was playing this low alto song today that I posted a couple of days ago and realized that there was something missing... HARMONY in SOPRANO!
Even as I was playing, I could hear the harmony. So I decided that I am going to get my niece, Susan, to get together with me with her flute and do the harmony in flute music, as the harmony is an entire octave higher. Clarinet notes and flute notes are totally different, so I COULD write them using my clarinet, but then it wouldn’t work on flute. (Might be really awesome to hear the harmony on trumpet as well!)
So I’m going to leave it as is for the time being. I’ve only added the words for the harmony in italics, but the notes are NOT here. If the harmony parts fall on the same line as the alto parts, it’s because those particular note/words are in unison.
Again, the notes in parenthesis, following the melody/alto, are written for clarinet. All b's are flat and every note is lowest octave except the ones in bold font, which are mid-octave. No high notes. Check back here or with me if you’re ever interested in getting the flute notes for the harmony.
By the way, this song is rather jazzy ... a little “Southern Gospel” if you will. It’s got a quick beat to it. Sharon, I’m glad you had the opportunity to play it on the organ. It might be interesting to see how that sounded. Very different from clarinet, I’m sure. I hope the Lord decides to bless me with a tenor sax someday. :) That would be soooooo cool!

Such talent! Treava, God has blessed you with so many gifts and you share them so beautifully! I wish I could even begin to understand all the music terminology you use and how I'd love to hear what you've written come alive in song! And, dear Sharon, how I would LOVE to hear you play the organ! More talent! I am blessed just knowing you two! I love you, Peggy
My Dearest Joyce, I just love this song, it has a wonderful beat. The words are incredible, just like you. You are incredible as well Peggy. I love you, Sharon
