Just as Jacob did, I had a dream.
A dream of stairs leading from the earth.
These stairs to heaven with me at the top.
The angels were going up and coming down.
And God he was waiting there for me.

I am the Lord, your God.
And I will never leave you.
If you give me your worries and your cares,
I'll take them away, your burden I'll bear.
This will be my promise to you.

And in the morning when I awakened,
I jumped up out of bed with a shout.
Because I was not alone, was never alone.
God had always been with me.
I am standing at the gate to heaven!

At this time I made a promise,
God, if you'll continue to go with me,
and keep me in the way I should go,
then forever will I follow you,
And always you will be my God.
