I Surrender

“I surrender.” No harder words to utter
The word “I give in” makes my body shutter
A slave to Your will is what I will say
Only the Holy Spirit can make it this way

My pride is full and my pride it is strong
It has led to me to all different kinds of wrong
To submit is not in the nature of man
So I give it to You, placing me in Your hands

I will never take what you do not give
Come to Me so that You may live
Only My sheep can hear Me when I call
I don’t want some, I want you to give all

Come to Me and I will give you rest
In my care you receive only what is best
Let go of this world and to Me surrender
My yoke is easy, The Master is tender


Brothers and Sister,

There is nothing harder to do than to surrender. I know that I would rather break than yield for most things in life. That was one of the toughest parts of my salvation, giving up. I had to surrender all to Jesus. That wonderful hymn is so powerful.

Surrender all to Jesus, not just this or that, but all. To put it bluntly what you hold back is held back in disobedience, therefore is putting a gap in your relationship. For those still clinging to money, surrender; For those still clinging to possessions, surrender; For those still clinging to control, surrender. When you surrender all to God you actually gain all. God bless.

I just found this, my brother. For some reason, perhaps because of my internet provider blocking what may be considered spam, I no longer receive notifications of new postings by those I track. This is a great posting on surrendering and what that means. God bless you, and I am praying He will keep you and your wife and family safe.

To remember that our Jesus did it first - surrendered His Life unto His Father trusting to be raised again into new and Everlasting Life - makes it possible for any of us to be enabled to do the same. That is the first leg of our journey Home, but I believe the most difficult. When being a humble bond-servant of Christ becomes the 'easy' way out because nothing can cause you to ever doubt again that He is everything He claims to be and will fulfill every promise He has made to us in His Perfect Love for us is the moment we can surrender - in the full sense of the word. "The Master is tender." (Sorry, but I don't know the html code for red font.) Brother, I believe that this phrase should be spoken DAILY until we get it so deep in our hearts that we truly get a revelation about the loving nature of God. He IS love, but there are so many of us who the world's kind of love has given us a bad perspective about what love truly is. When we can fully grasp God's loving nature, it becomes so much easier to surrender all. No, it is NOT in our nature to surrender. Certainly hasn't been in mine! I, for one, have had to learn it the hard way. But you can be sure I won't soon forget it. Have to do it daily... make a lifestyle out of it even!
