Today I need the Lord’s blessing of Peace. I’m no different than most people, in western society. Stressed, disliked by many and sicken by the behaviors of world leaders and just plain folks. So, this morning I awake praying for increased strength in Faith to carry on with my life despite of world events and my own selfish desires.

Over the past 30-years of life I’ve learned Sow time and Reap time and God has placed these actions into the hearts of people to Sow or Reap. Some are call children of God. They are ones Sowing Peace and Love not Peace through War.

The world is selling fear through the use of WMD’s. They tell us ….you know what will happen if they have control of WMD’s. What will they do? Launch one or two of them and risk being eliminated? Right, give me a break! The time has come for Fear, Greed and Selfishness to end. The moral majority would have you believe, It’s not ok to abort life but if that child grows into adulthood and caused the death of another person. Those same people want extreme justice by way of the death penalty onto the very child they fought to save at the beginning of its life. Conversely, Congress wants to end the Iraq war, or at lease stop spending money on a one-dimensional strategy. As they prepare to approve $120 billion stay the course war bill. Then jump into the people provided 757 and other assorted planes bound for home. I can’t stop thinking of the military men and women that won’t have the chance to go home this weekend, only to be honored, by giving their lives for this Country this weekend. This new spending bill will increase death for the Iraq’s and American’s what I hear out of congress is we’ll address bench marks during the September 2008 budget cycle. I wonder how that sits with American Soldiers fighting for freedom today.

Our troops will not come home until Congress stops paying for the one-dimensional strategy or until a stronger leader directs there Administration away form the current war only strategy. Don’t count on Iraq leadership to understand how to live in peace. They been around longer that most cultures on this planet. Fighting is there way of life until this age comes to closure.

So, I pray that we don’t loose too many this weekend and that our Father and Lord Jesus Christ help us and provide strength to the families who will lose love ones in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other parts of the world to men of violence and polices maker of this age.
