Now I Lay Me down to Sleep,
It's for Lost Souls That I Do Weep;
They Go the Way, They Think Is Right,
Oblivious of Their Terrible Plight!


They Never Think to Thank the One,
Who Sent to Them...His Only Son;
Dying on the Cross for You and Me,
Setting All Us Sinners Free!


Was it Just a Waste of Time,
To Give His Life...For Yours and Mine;
Should He Have Stayed at Heavens Door,
And Gave a Thought to Us...no More?


Should He Just Have Turned Away,
And Never Listened When We Pray;
If He Hadn't Cared for Us, Most,
Would He Have Sent the "Holy Ghost?"


So...now I Lay Me down to Sleep,
Praying That Each Soul He'll Keep;
But, If They Die ...Before They Repent,
They Never Understood... Why He Was Sent.
