YOU WERE NEVER MY FRIEND

From time immemorial-
Dating back to the very begining,
I got entangled with you
Not of my own will, but by reason of conception
It wasn't HIS original plan
Cos we were never supposed to meet
Your father tricked my fore-father in the garden
Resulting in the infection of my mother's blood,
hereby contaminating mine
However, we lived and grew together
With my heart totally closed to another
For more than a decade you gave the directives
Never minding my perspective
I knew you were not right
But we seemed inextricable
Doing your will was sweet
But always ended in guilt
You brought in that pleasure
That amounted to oppression
You exposed me to the "beauties" of the world
But never told me they were transient
What good did you really do for me?
As the wind blew through the years
I discovered I needed an amnesty from HIM
Knowing I was forever condemned to death
You caused it all you know?
You caused it!
Cos meeting you made me fall short of HIS glory
I refuse to blame myself tho'
For in the innocency and naivety of my heart
Did I fall a victim of the plight
However,I thank HIM for HIS prerogative of mercy
Which brought us both to the end of the road
I have no regrets saying goodbye
Cos my life now and then reveals that
You were never my friend from the start.

Great job on this article. Satan is deceptive. But by God's glory we can be free from his web of lies! Praise God He rescued you (and me also) Looking forward to reading more of you writings! Danette

I refuse to blame myself tho'

We must accept the blame for our sins, else there would be no cause for repentance. Satan will bear the responsibility of his blame for tempting us. We must accept the blame for yielding. This is what the Bible teaches. I sense you have a sincere desire for a close relationship with God. All He asks is repentance and acceptance. Live for him, young man, and your life will be full and complete.

Life is a struggle, to be sure...many, many road blocks. Lucky for all of us, God's Grace and forgiveness cover a multitude of human error. Your writing is very descriptive...it paints a very clear picture of your soul...

Nice article. I believe you painted a good picture of just how satan dangles his enticements before us while he hides the price tag. Good work. Please keep the articles rolling in!
