Friend in Need

I’m sorry your journey
is troublesome today.
But this I assure you,
it will soon fade away.

If I could leave me behind,
that’s what I would do,
so I could pick you up
and then I’d carry you.
I’d carry you up
that mountain so high.
I’d give you my wings
and teach you to fly,
to fly like an eagle
so that troubles seem small
and never, ever again
would the giants seem tall.

But your walk is yours
and my walk is mine.
And you’ll gain the strength
that you need in due time.
But if you should need me,
I’ll always be here.
I’ll lend you a shoulder
and a listening ear.

I have a friend in Jesus.
When I was where you are,
He picked me up and
He carried me far.
And if you will seek Him
He made a promise to you.
He said you would find Him.
He’s Faithful and True.

His yoke is so easy.
And His burden, light.
He’s a cloud in the day
and a fire in the night.
He’ll hear your cry
and He’ll be there for you.

Just cry out to Jesus.
He’ll carry you through.

Love, love, love, this poem. It flows very nice, but more important, it is a powerful testimony to what God has done in your life. Yes, we each have our own walk, but praise God, we
have the same destination awaiting us.

For those who soar on high, the giants do look so small. How blessed are those who have friends with broad shoulders. (But if you should need me, I’ll always be here. I’ll lend you a shoulder and a listening ear.) Advise that points one to Jesus for comfort comes only from true friends. (His yoke is so easy. And His burden, light. He’s a cloud in the day and a fire in the night. He’ll hear your cry and He’ll be there for you.)
This is great, Treava; makes one understand why you are so loved.

Joyce,

The rhyme of this beautiful poem flows with perfection and that's not even the best part! The best part is your promise of being a friend to a Friend in Need. This is a beautiful message. Thank you for blessing me with your poem today. In Christ's Love,

Julia

Oh, Treava...Being your friend is a wondrous gift! This is a work of "heart" and it touches my own heart deeply. When I read your words, I felt blessed by the warmth of your friendship and caring and I knew that I was no longer alone in this walk of life. There is great beauty in your words and in the rhythm... but the deepest beauty lies in the meaning behind your words - the beauty that is your beautiful spirit! Thank you for this treasure and for your cherished friendship! I love you...Peggy

This is simply beautiful, comforting and healing. The reader feels as if you are speaking only to them, yet they are the Words of another Friend. Wow. This is a masterpiece. I count myself truly blessed to call you my friend and my sister.
Hugs, Mitzi
