I’ll Never Be Sorry

I’ll never be sorry for one quilt I made,
That laid on the lap of the one whom I prayed
Would feel it’s sweet comfort, it’s warm soothing touch,
Those hours of labor that I loved so much.

I’ll never be sorry for one tear I shed
With someone who needed a rest for their head;
I’ll never be sorry that I stood alone
In order to do a deed I felt my own.

I’ll never be sorry for times with the Lord
When victory was won with words from the sword;
Where foolishness of God withstood wisdom of men ~
I smile at remembrance ~ I’d do it again....

I’ll never be sorry that when sorrow surrounds
I shut out the world for eternal sounds
And hear, through the din and the loud cymbal crash
The still, small voice of the Lord.... as he passed.
