Prayers

There are 24 hours in each day
that God gives to all men.
So I set aside a time to pray
before my day begins.

Each item on my daily agenda
are things that must be done.
But one thing must have priority
so I can accomplish the other ones.

I must take time to pray each day
so prayer head my list.
Then other things will fall in line
and nothing will be missed.

Each day is a gift given to me
so I can do God’s work.
God provides the strength I need
so prayer I dare not shirk.

I must always plan my time
and set my day in order.
and when I put prayer first
all other things will follow
