God bless the children without a home,
those who've been left to make it on their own.
Teardrops settle on tiny cheeks,
doesn't anyone care why he or she weeps?

God bless the children without a home,
will they grow up to go it alone?
Never to know the love of a Mother or Dad,
doesn't it touch your heart and make you sad?

God bless the children without a home,
never taught how to use a brush or a comb.
Don't know how to express their love,
won't give another a kiss or a hug.

God bless the children without a home,
those who seek love but are lonesome.
Yearning for a family...all their own,
afraid they'll never find a place to atone.

God bless the children without a home,
we may never know how it is to be all alone.
Faces don't exemplify a real identity,
no warm love in life can create an infamy.
