Marriage

I look out and see the sun shining,
setting the tops of the trees all aglow,
and wonder how long it will be before
it reaches me standing here below.

It seems strange to see the light above
and me in the shadows still
but I know if I wait just a little while longer,
it will reach me, I just know it will.

There was a time when all I seemed to do was wait,
for something that never quite came,
but the day I met Jesus, He changed all that,
and my life was never again the same.

He showed me a new path to walk,
lit by His golden light,
and all I need do was to follow in His steps,
into His day out of my dark night.

And that was just the beginning,
He had so many things yet in store,
but the best on of all came one lovely spring day,
when I met you, the man I would love and adore.

Now I don't have to wait and wonder,
and hope something will come my way,
I have everything now, all the treasure poured out,
I have you and live in the Son's light every day!

What joy it is to see a new day begin,
and know more dreams are about to come true,
and I can spend wondrous hours and minutes,
showing how very much I LOVE YOU!
