A Prayer For Levi: Love’s Embrace

Today I prayed for you/In hopes that Love’s embrace,
Would pierce your heart/And your eyes would be opened,
To the knowledge of His peace and grace.

Catch hold of this truth/He has taken your pain and shame,
Let your spirit listen/As He calls out the sound of your name.
You are His son by the gift of grace,
Actions that were sown in thoughtless haste,
Were swallowed up in Love’s embrace.

Today I wished for you/A place of rest in your soul,
From the wounds of the past.
You have a Father Who gave His own,
To make you His son/Believe in His Word, let it make you whole.

Today I prayed for you,
That understanding would open your eyes,
To the hand of God’s grace.
Open your heart and begin to realize,
That He wants to take you up,
And keep you forever in Love’s embrace.
