In the Body of Christ
There are those who represent
The Father's heart of mercy
And what His kindness meant.

Those special ones are able
Through loving, tenderness,
A touch, a word , a smile or two.
To give a spirit rest.

A sincere word of blessing
To encourage and to heal;
A tear shed in compassion,
Another's wounds may heal.

I thank you, O my Father,
For those along the way
Who show to us your mercy
And wash our feet each day

Refreshed, restored , we carry on
To do what You command
Because of them, our burden's light
And stronger we will stand.
