What Really Counts

Uncircumcision speaks of unique, original man: his intellect, his reasoning ability, his determination, his inquisitiveness, his thoughtfulness, his disposition, his attitudes, his morality.

Circumcision suggests slight changes---what man can do to make himself better: his venturesomeness, his ingenuity, his technology, his resourcefulness, his perceptiveness, his communicativeness, his sensitivities.

Some Biblical Insight...
"Neither circumcision nor
uncircumcision means anything;
what counts is a new CREATION."
Gal 6:15.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is
a new CREATION; the old has gone,
the new has come." 2 Cor 5:17.

"For we are God's workmanship,
CREATED in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Eph 2:10.

"You were taught, with regard to your former
way of life, to put off your old self,
which is being corrupted by its
deceitful desires;
to be made new in the attitude of your minds;
and to put on the new self, CREATED to be
like God in true righteousness and holiness."
Eph 4:22-24.

On that last, final day, what will really count? It will be whether or not a spiritual creation has been transacted in each of our lives---through the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The risk of ignoring or shunning Him is momentous.
