Petals of His Love

Feelings pour from the heart like sap from a tree, you can make something sweet of it, but is it good, is it true, or is it being sappy. Like bring home a dozen roses to a loved one, it is not spreading the petals over the wedding bed. You don't need a reason to bring home the flowers, but the other, there is but one reason... and that to win the heart with your love.

You don't need a reason, or a special occasion, to do something like bringing flowers to a loved one, you could have any one of a hundred; even guilt. The other has but one reason, and one alone, and that the out-pouring of true love for the other. One you do to try showing your love, the other you do because the love you have is true, deeper and lasting beyond all else.

You can bring your tithes to store house, but that is not your heart to the altar. One can speak great words of the knowledge and wisdom of God's love, leading the multitude to know the worth of God, but if in seeking for ones own, then where is the blessing. We can make a grand showing in following the words of the bible, in learning everyone, but if we lift not our brother in his need, what love do we show.

Bringing flowers to the love one without reason, is like lifting ourselves up in the eyes of others. Laying our heart, bleeding and sore, downcast in humility, upon the altar of the Lord, that is spreading our love before His feet. The Lord's baptism was a show of worth to the world, in the calling out of God, of His Beloved Son, but the blood drops of Christ, were the petals of His love, to the bed of His bride.
