The Weight on My Mind

Do you really understand,Lord
Hoe deep I hurt inside?
“So You really care about me?”
So many times I’ve cried.

The words in hymns, they speak of You
And Your unfailing power.
The Bible says you always know
What happens every hour.

I know that You can bring about
Those miracles for others.
Now will you do the same for me
As you’ve done for my brothers?

I’m frightened ,Lord, so fearful that
With every step I take.
It seems the load gets heavier
As though my heart will break.

The pain ,confusion; sore the lot
All weigh upon my mind
And I forget that you are near
Se gentle, gracious;kind.

You will in nowise cast me out
If on Your Name I call
You’ll bind my wounds; restore my life,
And lift me when I fall.
