Coffee Pot

Author requests article critique

Prayers when I awaken,
Please my loving God.
In need of some direction
He fills my coffee pot.
The aroma of it brewing,
Filled to the brim in Him,
A daily taste of Lordship
Helps me fight the sin.

Don't give time to the devil.
His coffee is cold and stale.
Tormentor, accuser, liar,
Destroyer of God's will.
I pray today for protection,
Comforting my thoughts,
Then ask God for His blessings
To fill my coffee pot.

Good morning, Stuart. I so appreciate this poem! Coffee is such a delightfully, familiar thing to millions of people (even those who don't drink it). "Filled to the brim with Him..." good to the last drop!!! This would be wonderful on a plaque in our kitchens!
