We’ve only balked, ignorant of needing;
We’re not really living, unless we’re like Jesus,
Dying and forgiving, as the One who sees us;

It’s just not real, if we’re not bleeding
With love to heal, the Divine reeling;
No other life comes close to Him,
Absolute strife to die for our sin;

Bridge:
It’s just not enough unless we’re rising
Up from death’s dust, as like our King;
We haven’t lived, until we have died;
We haven’t strived, like our Holy Guide;
