Your smile has turned into a frown
It hurts me so much to see you down
Despite, I try to make you smile
The joy I bring lasts a little while

I try not to take it personal
Because its not with me
And that I know

A lot has happened within the last two weeks
But, I know in my heart the reason you weep
A fatherly love that is so GRAND
Although I try, you’ll say I don’t understand

And that’s alright, because God knows I do
Your hurts and pain I feel through and through
But, only he who’s up above
Can wrap his arms around your sorrow filled heart

There is one thing I want you to know
I thought I was in love a lifetime ago
However, until you came back into my life
I never felt someone else’s pain
And as your partner, for you I’ll do anything
I’m one with you and I’ll sacrifice

So, Darling don’t think it goes unnoticed
These are no longer just your burdens
Whatever you want me to be for you
A silent listener or shoulder to cry on

Just know that I am and always will be
Through good times and bad ones
Your woman, your wife
Your friend til the end.
