It Was A Cross


It was a cross He laid upon
When nails pierced through His hands,
It was a cross that raised Him high
Above the Holy land ~

It was a cross that held Him while
They argued and cast dice...
How could a thing so ugly pay the
Highest premium price?


It is a cross they lay beneath...
These fallen heroes brave...
A cross that maks the spot of all
Who gave their lives to save.

Without these heores we'd not know
The freedom we now cherish.
Without these heores, who can tell
But that the land might perish.

He bore the cross for one great cause...
For helpless man's salvation;,
He chose the way deliberately...
And died, to bring completion!

My cross adorns my clothing,
And I see it everywhere;
Wonder if those wearing it
Could ever grasp the care
Our loving God planned carefully,
A plan for life forever,
Completed with His loving touch
