Gracious facet in the diamond of love,
Is this thing called patience;
‘Tis one blessing from above;
Reveals a mighty endurance;
Patience is the Son sublime,
Repeating what He once imparted;
He speaks as if for the first time,
To pierce the harden-hearted;
Patience is a humble God,
Waiting for His own;
He withholds His mighty rod,
Preferring that he’d come home.
