Hello, and welcome to the verse of the week. This is a very simple verse this week, about seeking Gods face. Psalm 105 is a beautiful Psalm which speaks of Gods sovereignty, and His ever present help.

"Look to the Lord, and His strength, seek His face continually."

Psalm 105:4 (NIV)

I have learned one thing lately, something that I should have realised a long time ago. when we show up, to an "appointment" with God, HE BLESSES US ABUNDANTLY. Sometimes, He answers a prayer, or prospers us. But other times, and this is the best part, His presence just moves in us, and we are changed and His sweet aroma fills our souls and spirits.

I have seen all too many times, and people, where God was not made part of their plans and lives. Each time, I have seen them fail misrabley. It is sad, but they have to learn from their own mistakes, and one day they will see that they cannot do it without Him. God's help and His strength is vital to our prosperity and our overall well being. And heres the best part-He WANTS to help us! It saddens Him when we leave Him out of our plans, because without Him, we can do nothing!
A lot of people, even people who trust the Lord, may feel tired, weary and spent of energy. A lot of times, we feel that we have to improve our situation on our own. People naturally feel that they have to do something in order to make things better. God is here too tell you this. Rest in Me. Seek MY strength, MY refuge, MY answers. Move when He says to move, not because you think or feel that you have to. That actually IS harder than doing it on our own, because it takes surrender, and discipline, but we are blessed in the long run, because we allowed GOD, the very God who loves and created us, to fight our battles for us, and take care of us.
I have a LONG way to go before I give it all to God. I have given a few things to Him, but there are some things I still hold onto. But lately, I have been telling the Lord "you know, you take good care of me, thank You.". If He can take care of that which I surrender, He can surely take care of that which I have yet to give Him. As it is for you. I love Gods word, because it is for EVERYONE, and when it we read and obey it, we are blessed, rest, and destressed!

DEAR LORD-
WE ALL HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO, BEFORE WE CAN GIVE IT ALL TO YOU. BUT SLOWLY, YOU PEEL OUR FINGERS AWAY FROM OUR OWN WORRIES AND CARES, AND WORK THEM OUT IN OUR LIVES. HELP US TO "LOOK TO THE LORD", AND SEEK YOUR STRENGTH. IT DOESN'T FAIL US. YOU DON'T FAIL US. YOU ARE GOOD AND THE PLANS YOU HAVE FOR US ARE GOOD. MAY YOUR SPIRIT REASSURE US AS WE LOOK TO YOU FOR OUR STRENGTH, OUR PEACE AND EACH SITUATION WE FACE.
