Always near,
Never far.
Reducing my fear.
Healing my scar.
Just a whisper away.
Covering my back,
Yet leading the way.
Giving courage when I lack.
He rides shotgun.
He’s my right and left flank.
He’s God’s Son.
Lord and Savior is His rank.
He is a friend
That is closer than a brother.
A heart he can mend
Like no other.
He is always on the beat!
He is never 10-7.
He will be with me on every dark alley & street,
Until I code out with Him in Heaven.
