Women
A well in the bible becomes a very significant place for a woman who would have a divine appointment with a man that would forever change the course of her life and propel her into her destiny. One of the intriguing things about this encounter is that this woman was going about her daily activities when she met Jesus at the well.
We should remember that Jesus still meets women at the well today. Your well probably is not a physical well where you go to draw water. Your well maybe that place where you meet Jesus on you knees beside your bed, in the corner of your closet, or that spot in your bathroom. Wherever your well is, Jesus is waiting to meet you there. You don’t need to be apprehensive about this meeting because the result will be only for your good.
At the well no cell phones, laptops, or beepers are permitted. He will need your undivided attention.
At the well you will engage in conversation with the most effective communicator who has ever lived. You will be encouraged to lay aside all pretentiousness and self-imposed expectations. You will not need to be impressive with your “SUPER MOM” t-shirt, or your Corporate America business attire.
At the well you don't have to act like you’ve got it all together. You don’t have to know all the answers and you will not be responsible for fixing all the problems. At the well you will not be expected to help; you will be there to receive help.
You will not need to show up full of energy. You may come to the well exhausted! At the well your hair does not need to be combed, your teeth don’t need to be brushed, and your face doesn’t have to be washed. Come as you are.
At the well the greatest psychotherapist known to man will help you discover who you really are. You may get angry while you’re at the well. You may cry while you’re at the well. You may become proud and defensive. You may experience shame and sorrow at the well. It’s all okay. That’s what the well is for.
At the well the world’s greatest motivator will challenge you to step out of mediocrity and into excellence. At the well you will have to confront your past, face yourself, and put an end to your excuses. You will have to make choices that will set you on the course to you destiny. At the well you will encounter the most compassionate human being that ever lived. At the well you will discover that you are loved completely and unconditionally. You will see that you are truly fearfully and wonderfully made. You have a standing invitation!
Your Redeemer cordially invites you to meet him at the well. He will be there today. HE IS AT THE WELL EVERYDAY!

Well Ruth, (no pun intended), that was very refreshing! Welcome to FaithWriters and thank you so much for sharing this lovely piece. We do tend to get a little busy (often serving the Lord) and forget to go back to the well and be refreshed, renewed, refilled and revived. Thanks for the lovely reminder. With love, Deb
