Receive the Holy Spirit.
[John 20:22]

"Lord? I still don't understand what
the Holy Spirit is."

"That is alright, child."

"Maybe, somebody ought to write
a book called "What is the Holy Spirit:
A Guide for Meshugunah Yiddisha Ladies."

"You, child?"

"Uh uh, Lord. That publishing business
is a real, eh, crock. It's full of mumsers,
sheisters, and ganniffs.
There's no honesty, anymore."

"Explain these things, child."

"Huh? What, Lord, are You forgetting
Your Yiddish? A mumser is a rich, fatted
calf. A ganniff is a thief: the real kind
with a sock over his head, and all. And,
everybody knows what a sheister is, Lord."

"Are these nice words, child?"

"Oh, no! But, they are words of my
childhood, Father. You know: sweet
memories."

"Yes child, but unkind words, nevertheless."

"I've had bad gas for a couple of days,
Father. Could this be the Holy Spirit?"

"Child, with Whom are you speaking?"

"My Father, Who created Shamu the Whale?"

[NOD.]

"And what else did He create, My beloved one?"

"Eh, Starbucks? Hey, that sounds really good,
right now. Lord, could You send angel Michael
down with a thermos of cafe o'lai, and a box
of chocolate sprinkled donuts?"

"My archangel Michael has more important
things to do, My precious."

"Like what? Aw come on; I bet he's
got a least five minutes before his next
spiritual battle. I'm not asking for a lot;
just some really fresh donuts, still warm
from the bakery behind the counter, and
a huge container of coffee saturated in
pinkie stuff, and real milk. I don't like
that soy stuff; it's disgusting. Who wants
to drink milk from a green plant? Ech!"

"Perhaps, it may help with the gas issue."

"I doubt it. Anyhow, when's he going to
come down? If You could give me a couple
minutes; I'd like to get some make-up on."

"Child, what have I told you before?"

"Eh......that it's okay if I can't figure out
what the Holy Spirit is?"

"And?"

"Uh......oh, that Your messengers and
servants aren't at my beck and call?"

"AND."

"Aw, come on, Lord! I just woke up!
I can barely remember all of my kitties'
names right now."

[SMILE.]

"Eh, that if I someday wish to write a
book, I shouldn't lose hope?"

"And why, child: read My Word."

"Okay, Lord. But, first I have to get
Bluebell off of Your Book. She's busy
licking my bowl of pineapple sherbet."

"I'll wait, child."

(Silence. Ten minutes pass while
meshugunah lady shares bowl of
pineapple sherbet with plump,
ne're do well cat.)

"I can't find it, Lord! The part
about moving the mountain."

"Look for it, child."

"I've looked up 'mountain',
'tree', 'fig', 'move'........'hunger'?
Wasn't it that part where Jesus
was hungry, and got upset at the
little fig tree cuz' it wasn't bearing
fruit, so He made it wither?"

"Look for it, precious.
No, you are not going to find
it back there, in Jeremiah."

"OY! I CAN'T FIND IT, LORD!
Where is it? The part about moving
the mountain? It's not way back in
Genesis, is it? There's a tree in that
Scripture: some sort of tree, anyhow."

"It is there, child."

"I can't find it, Lord! I guess I'm
a little on the impatient side."

[FROWN.]

"I FOUND IT!! HEY, LORD!
GUESS WHAT? I FOUND IT!
I FOUND IT! YAY!!
Here it is:

Truly, I say to you, if you have
faith and never doubt, you will
not only do what has been done
to the fig tree,
but even if you say to this mountain,
Be taken up and cast into the sea'
it will be done......
whatever you ask in prayer, you will
receive, if you have faith.
[Matthew 21:21-22]

Lord?"

"Yes, child?"

"Will You explain to me, sometime,
about the Holy Spirit?"

"Yes, My beloved.
Yes."

received from the Father the
promise of the Holy Spirit.....
