***** Snowflakes *****


Fluffy snowflakes drifting down
Gently settling to the ground
Breathless in this peaceful land,
Where ne'er there is a sound.

Winter does exert its claim
On grass and leaves and soil;
To blanket all in powder white,
The summer green to foil.

See the peaceful gentle doe
So graceful is her form,
Soft eyes loving all she sees
In the pale light of morn.

The forest's quiet beauty cries
Please do not disturb,
For it is in this peacefulness,
God's still small voice is heard.
