There is a friend that this world has forgotten
closer than a brother, yet downtrodden.
His name is dragged through the mud
but all He has is love for us!

He thinks about us everyday
even the ones who never pray
and even when we curse His name
He forgives and loves us just the same.

He died on Calvary, to end our sin
but we keep on sinning til the end
will grace abound as sin does too?
Yes, it does, but we can't continue!

It's time we call out to this Friend
before our life on earth ends
He will deliver, He will save
He will give us brighter days.

He cries because we don't know
that He and the Father love us so.
If we answer Him today
and allow Him to have His way

We will be blessed, and made whole
by this God who loves us so!
if we know this wonderful Friend
lets tell the world all about Him!
