LOVE ON VALENTINES DAY

Love is in the air again
When the heart longs to connect
A deluge of affection like rain
Pervading the globe and on net.

Love is the ultimate solution.
Soothing all the pain of life,
Only when it isn’t mere passion,
Removes all known strife.

Loving ought to be a daily act,
Rather than an annual tradition
Why wait a whole year apart
Let it be as normal as breath.

Lock it not up in the heart
Love sincerely shown outwardly,
The tangible one, received alert
A smile, a helping hand, a gift, a blessing

But there is intangible love
Intercession unknown to the receiver
Giver and receiver not as deceiver
Loving the unlovable

There is grace to love as He loved
Eros and Filial love, passionate love,
Will only endure in Agape love,
Else love transmutes to hate.

Agape love as of the Lord,
Giving Himself for undeserving folks.
Showing that the enemy can be loved
So that the loving may be free from the hater.
