I Am a Candle


I am a candle
Because God loves me
I have a new heart
And faith to see.

I am a candle
Standing tall
Set on His path
I've heard His call.

I am a candle
Shining a light
In the darkness
And into the night.

I am a candle
With others upon this land
And we cannot be hid
For we obey His command.

Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine
before men, that they
may see your good works,
and glorify your Father
which is in heaven.

Anyone who has been in a very dark place knows how much light a candle can give. Most of the time, for those who live in cities, it is never really dark. But go out to the country and you will know how dark dark can be. Then a little candle seems bright. May we be candles in this dark, dark world. Thanks Julie.

So much said with so few words. Yes, yes, yes, you certainly ARE a candle! But the Light shining through you is beyond brilliant... illuminating all in your path. He's just good like that. :::smile:::

The Lord has been speaking to me lately about letting His light shine through me - I guess I'm not the only one :) No doubt this world needs the One True Light to mark the path and see us through. Thanks, Julie!
