I will live this day as if my last.
I will forget failures of the past.

Uncertainties of tomorrow
Will not bring fear or sorrow.

I will be gentle, patient, kind.
To other’s faults, I will be blind.

I will take time to play with a child
Running free and wild.

Deadlines and traffic will not cause me stress.
I will listen more and talk less.

I will speak encouragement & praise.
Songs of joy will my voice raise.

Though challenges and difficulties arise,
I will not be defeated by Satan’s lies.

For this day, In Christ, I’ll live and walk.
Allowing Him to control my thoughts, deeds, and talk.

This day is God’s gift of time, but only in part.
For it is he who hath set eternity in our heart.

When the sun is setting low, and this day is done.
I will give praise to the maker of Earth, moon, and sun.
