Tidal waves crash all around me
A thunder bolt blazes in the air
Dark merky waters surround me
I stay afloat through strategic warfare

Relentlessly the enemy has pursued me
So far away seemed the victory
Bombarded with anxiety


Immersed in the waters
No one understood
It was very complex
Often times his aim was to perplex

Intensity pounded
Not many believed in me
Red Sea's ahead
an enemy's behind me
I'm more than determined I'll cross this sea

Waves of sadness and despair
hit against my body violently
Gigantic icy waves that are beyond measure
Forward I move in combat and resist all pressure

Armed in Joy, Peace, Love and Faith
God drowns the enemy as I bellow out praise
From the depths of my spirit perserverance abounds
Strapped in courage danger is bound


Salty tears obsure my view
Jesus hears my cry
Now I have my cue

I focus on Jesus who helps me to see clearly
Why quit now?
I'm almost there

When I reach the Promiseland
I'll propel my flag in victory
To God be the glory

Can't help but to mention his name as I reminisce and tell the story
Of how he brought me out of caos into calm and serenity

Never let go or hold the flag of defeat
You've been through too much
To throw in the towel

Cling on to Jesus rebuke everything that is foul
Especially discouragement, doubt, unbelief
Swallow the medicine of Joy it will bring relief
