Snow From Heaven



Swirling snow
Like diamonds drifting…
Bringing sparkles
As it shimmers.


Bringing sparkles
In winter season
Coating the ground
In white gladness.


Coating the ground
Snow from heaven
Glistening gift
Of our God.


Glistening gift
As pure treasure
Nourishing the earth…
A planned secret.






Isaiah 55:10
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven,
and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth,
and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it
may give seed to the sower,
and bread to the eater:

A lovely little poem, Julie, a reminder of the fact that our sins are washed whiter than snow. We haven't seen much snow this year, but others near us have. Snow is refreshing, covering up all the impurities and ugliness left by nature--and many times the litter of man. Thanks for sharing your poetry.
