As I took a close look at life,
I discovered that some difficult choices are really the safest choices.
For instance,

Keep quiet when provoked,

Smile when upset,

Relax in the face of pressure,
but its the safest thing to do.

It is difficult to
Forgive a friend that that has betrayed you,

It is difficult to
Give when you have little,
but its the safest thing to do.

It is difficult to
Love your enemies,
but its the safest thing to do.

It is difficult to
Love those that don't accept you,
but its the safest thing to do.

It is difficult to
Stand tall in the face of peer pressure,
but its the safest thing to do.

It is difficult to
Avoid sex as an unmarried person,
but its the safest thing to do.

It is difficult to
Avoid bribery in a corrupt society,
but its the safest thing to do.

It is difficult to
Break away from your past,

Be hopeful in a hopeless situation,

Talk to God when he seems faraway,

Trust God in the face of challenges,

There are many more things that are difficult to do, but are usually the safest things to do. Therefore, the next time you face a difficult choice, stop and think, it may be the safest thing to do.
