Unspoken Prayer


Rushing through, making decisions on my own.
I will do this, this way and that, that way.
I wring my finger’s on which road to take.
Not stopping to ask God, what he has to say.

I cry with worry and flare with anger.
I do not listen to what anyone has to say.
I slam doors and stomp up steps.
Not stopping to ask God, what he has to say.

I spend my money on frivolous things.
I scold my children more than I play.
I disrespect my husband and see only bad.
Not stopping to ask God, what he has to say

I wake in the morning and forget where my bible lay
I start what must be done and get on my way.
I do not stop to bow my head and pray.
I do not stop to see what God, has to say.

In the evening when all has calmed down,
I try to pray in my head what I need to say.
I do not want any around to hear what I pray.
I do not stop to think that God, wants to Hear what I have to say.
