Faith

Today I was teaching the children about faith, actually some of the children had the concept nailed. I am amazed at how intelligent these kids are, as young as nine and ten, and at times I think they know the Bible better than I do, and I am the one who teaches them, every Sunday. I am blessed in teaching it, although today was more than a little trying, I also had my ADHD nephew which leaves me with a lot less time with the other kids, and the truth is it does require Faith just to get through the day when dealing with an ADHD six year old boy.

We read from Romans verse 10:17 17Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. I am glad that these children who are so young are having an education in Faith, because in this day an age, I believe we need to understand the importance of serving the Lord more than ever. We are coming to the end times, the signs are here, we do not know the day or hour, but it draws nigh, so we need to repair our children because if we do not educate them in Faith they can fall into the dangerous trappings of the world.

All it takes is the faith the size of a mustard seed, and then we can believe the impossible, we also find that with Faith, we have more purpose in life, we are not flying by the seat of our pants blindly, to borrow an old cliché. Instead we know that we have the promise of Heaven, because we took that leap of Faith and gave our heart to Christ. Matthew 17:20-21 20He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." 21 But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.



Having Faith does not mind we live life blindly to what goes on around us, and it is not some magic pill that leaves us immune to pain, what it does give us is the hope of life eternal. It also gives us the strength to go through both the small and large trials in life, including dealing with ADHD six years old, or dealing with a battle with health issues. You are better able to get through it because you have a better outlook on life, you are not constantly looking at the negative, you can see the light through the tunnel to borrow another cliché.

We may not see God physically, but we see the evidence of him everywhere we look, the beauty of nature, and knowing that loving hands created that, that is faith. I believe even the youngest children can grasp the issue of faith, and as I said before Faith gives you a better life, because you are not going through life believing in nothing, feeling that this life is the best that we can ever have. I know if I felt that way I would definitely have a negative outlook on life in Titus Chapter One verses 1-4 it says: 1Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God's elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness— 2a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, 3and at his appointed season he brought his word to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior, 4To Titus, my true son in our common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.

I find that having Faith is necessary in my life, and it has made my life a lot better. Before I gave my heart to Christ I had a very negative outlook on life, but when I opened my heart to Christ that was slowly washed away and I found my outlook a lot brighter, and my life a lot more happy.
