If Jesus came to your church
Would you know He was Christ,
Or would you go through the service
with scales over your eyes.

If Jesus came to your church
would you have to change some things,
the testimony you usually give
or even the songs you sing.

If Jesus came to your church
Would He find only a faithful few,
Because some folks come in late
or leave before worship is through?

If Jesus came to your church
and He listened to you pray.
Would He know it was the Father
that you were speaking to that day?

If Jesus came to your church
and held the offering plate.
Would you tithe your true income
or hope He wont know what you make.

If Jesus came to your church
would He be pleased to sit beside you
because you smile and greet Him warmly
and is genuine in all you do.

If Jesus came to your church
Would your worship be the same,
or would the Holy Spirit take control
and you let Him have free reign?

If Jesus stayed till church is over
would He be greatly surprise,
that when you walk outside the door
You leave the Holy Spirit inside.

If Jesus came to your church
and desired to come home with you,
Would you say, ”Lord, not today
I have other things to do?”

If Jesus didn’t come to church again
would anyone even ask why,
Or just assume He went elsewhere
and let the matter slide?

If Jesus is more than just a guest
and if He lives in our hearts each day.
His presence wouldn’t only be felt in church
but it would affect all we do and say.
