What to Write, What to Write?

As I sit down at my paper
I wonder what to write:
A romance or a mystery
About something in the night?

I could write a comedy.
It might make people smile.
I’d try to make it funny,
But I’d only get laughs once in a while.

I just might write a horror.
Zombies would take over the earth.
But the population would get so low
There may not be another birth.

A picture book could be fun
if I had learned to draw.
But I’d only let others see it
If the book was without a flaw.

I think about writing science fiction
‘Round the clock each day,
But I think I’d be doing everyone a favor
If from that I’d stay away.

I try to write clever comics.
In poems, it’s hard to rhyme.
I sometimes get something I approve of.
But it doesn’t happen all the time

Now that I think about it,
I just may not write at all.
It’s something I’m not too good at
Creativity I cannot recall.

Amy, I had a smile as I read this. The bit about the zombies and there not being anyone left to birth made me chuckle out loud. You have a fun sense of humor. I'm so glad you're following your dad's footsteps and jumping into FaithWriters and the Challenge. I know you'll have fun.
