Tannah pushed the melting butter around in the deep frying pan. the sweet, fatty aroma filled her nose as well as Bandit's.
"click clackity clack" Bandit scurried into the kitchen and placed his bum on the tile floor. Tannah gently broke two eggs into the center of the pan so as not to damage the delicate yolk. The butter sizzled and popped and the eggs turned white. bandit, still sitting, creeped a little bit closer. Tannah drizzled the butter over the eggs with a spoon and watched the top turn white. She gingerly slid the eggs onto a plate, trying not to spill the butter.
Bandit creeped a little closer. too close. Tannah looked at the short snouted dog. his large black ears fully erect, and his buggy brown eyes gazing hopefully. his front paws were set together and his head slightly forward. Tannah pointed at the living room with the spatula. Disappointment set on the dog's face as he trudged into the living room, head down.
then she sprinkled the shredded potatoes into the pan. they crackled and browned. Bandit peeks his head around the corner. Tannah strained the hash browns letting the butter collect in a bowl. She return half the butter to the pan.
Bandit licked his chops, loudly. Tannah simply shook her head and dumped the diced tomato into the pan. when they were almost done Tannah turned off the stove. She rubbed her hands together, time for her favorite part.
Bandit scooted just close enough to be seen. first a dash of paprika. Then the tomatoes glide over the eggs. then the the hash browns radiate from the eggs. finally melting cheddar cheese mists the whole plate.
Tannah escorted her breakfast to her orange juice and fork awaiting her on the TV tray. Tannah cut into her eggs and savored every bite or greasy goodness. Halfway through a soft whimper came from under the TV tray. Tannah pushed her chair back. Under the TV tray sat a little black and white pup with big melting eyes. It took everything in Tannah to keep the stern look on her face.
At that Band collapsed in the floor so that his back faced his master. He occasionally glanced at Tannah longingly. when she was almost done he let out a humble snort- sigh. Tannah rolled her eyes and placed the plate on the floor for her best friend. Bandit ate his fine cuisine, tailless rear wiggling.
