And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean." And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. Mark 1:40,41 King James Version
The leper pleaded, kneeled, and was healed. Bowing before the Lord Jesus signified that in humility he was acknowledging the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. By pleading (it did not even need an extended, begging plea), he was stating a fact at the same time...."If you will, you can make me clean."
He was healed. Jesus, moved with compassion, seeing the man's isolating plight and resulting abandonment by others, touched him, thereby cleansing him of his defiling disease.
This leprous man was never the same after his encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. The account deals with the physical outcome of their meeting and only eternity will reveal the full results of the touch of Jesus Christ upon his tragic life.
