THE BRIER

The sticky brier was hopeless
it was shunned and left alone.
Until the day the gardener came
to find the rose a home.

The sad brier went unnoticed
it had no beauty to behold.
It was to rugged to be of any use
as the story is usually told.

The brier spent all its time
in complete isolation.
No one never sought it out
because of it’s sticky reputation.

But one day the gardener came
and attached a rose to it’s stem.
The brier was changed completely
because the rose gave value to him.

The lovely rose attracted everyone
and brought much joy to the brier.
Now that everyone noticed it
it held it's head much higher.

Such is the case of the lost man
whose life is empty and vain.
But when one gives his life to Christ
he experiences a miraculous change
