Like the vision I had in the absence of winter,
On the radiating face of summer;
An entwined soul with destiny,
Broiling in an ocean of human tears.

I am a fragment of eternity
Colliding with the mortal element,
A tear from God's own eye
At the down trodden ways of men.

An angel summoned me in a dream.
I saw hell laugh and heaven cry
When men die and spirits depart,
My heart shivered in tremors at my future
And breath searched for my mouth.

Like the day I was born
Into the naked palms of poverty;
A burden to the world, tears to my father
And hope to my mother.

Heaven could not wait to flip time
That the world might see what I would become-
A plant riding against the currents.
The Word, the rhema, which propels me
Is branded as a seal from God's signet ring.

Death can seek and have me in its through,
But the Word of life that dwells in me
Will make morality shriek at the sound of my calling.
Neither death nor poverty can hold me down
Only the fulfillment of my destiny has me bound.
