…the air is redolent
Of fresh blood
Another soul has lost its will
To go on in this quandary

He is not a recreant soldier
Carried his burden without speaking
Recites to himself some soothing words
And without a word he cuts his vein
Tired of being in locks and chain

Now I know the reticent smile
That always rests on his face
Now that he chooses the easy way
Let the bureaucrat be happy
That he has murdered yet another soul

Unknown Soldier tagged illegal immigrant
Who will remember you my brother my friend?
No passport no name no identity
