The Journey

I am on a pilgrimage
A journey for the Lord
I'm not sure where I'm going
Or what God has in store

I know I want to travel
With Jesus at my side
And forget my past of ugly sin
and foolish seeds of pride

I want to fly like eagles
Above the clouds so high
And feel my spirit soaring
In the beauty of the sky

I want to leave my guilt and shame
and reach toward the goal
And maybe in my travels
I can lead another soul

To my precious Lord and Saviour
My comforter, my friend
Who loves me unconditionally
And will until the end
