When love lurches into hate,
The beauty becomes a beast;
The rose turns into a thorn-
The refreshing water is Mara.
A beacon is beclouded.

When love looms into hate,
Sweet scent descends into a stench.
A gulf is gorged between sweethearts;
A duel takes the place of a cuddle;
The giver becomes a thief.

When love lax into hate
Friends are counted as foes
Wrath is aroused and the music silenced.
Dreary diabolical darkness is unleashed
Bitterness becomes the bread you eat and breed

When love careers into hate,
Anger becomes your wine and pal,
Lighting a raging hellish fire;
Inflicting a festering sore
That digs your grave unless you’re saved.

When love crosses into hate
God vanishes because He’s banished.
His image is so, so tarnished
And you’ll be vanquished-
Divided to be ruled and ruined.

So pal, bounce back from the bite,
bout and bowel of hate.
Drink the wine of love from the Vine.
That love lasts and laughs last
Unconditional, unfailing, fulfilling.
That love will lurch YOU into real life-
A life of peace, joy and love
unspeakable and full of glory.
