A Poem

I thought I'd try and write a poem
To say hello and cheer your day,
And now that I have pen in hand
I really know not what to say.

But please be patient, allow me time
And I will surely make a rhyme.
It may be lacking in the sublime,
But it comes with a prayer for you.

Have you noticed how the dewdrops
Fall so silently;
And catch the morning rays of sun,
Their glory to be seen?

And how the birds rejoice in song
As each new morning dawns,
Lifting our hearts with every note
With courage to go on.

Have you watched the crimson sun
Sink into twilight's sea,
And marvel at the power of Him
By whom all things have being?

Isn't our God so good to us
In letting us enjoy so much?
