Behold the heart and mind of God,
Revealed in the Man;
The Breath of Him; fleshly-shod,
He, the Great I Am;

What He said and did while here,
Was the joy of our Creator;
For our sorrow, brought His cheer,
Just by being our Savior;

Chosen men witnessed this One,
Do and say the Father’s desire;
One proclaimed Him as God’s Son,
Another: He’d bring God’s fire;

He is called the Word of God;
He is the Father’s Expression;
The Son should be the Father’s laud,
To express His Lord’s intention;

Want to know the mind of Him,
Executive and Chief of all that exists?
Then look to His Son, Who’s without sin,
The One who was in our midst;

He’s also the Agent of our existence,
The Reason why we’re here;
We are the reason for our spiritual distance;
Still, He holds us dear;

Those who heed the Father’s Word,
Are those who yield to the truth;
We will know if we’ve truly heard;
Repentance will be our proof;

While I speak not of perfection,
Submission to Him’s our pattern;
How we respond to our own sin,
By the grace that we can’t earn;

This is the grace I speak about,
Given freely through the Word;
Jesus is heaven’s divine Clout;
Ask for Him; you’ll be heard;

All God’s made, He will not force
To love the Son of Him;
He will let one have their course:
Perdition, with their sin.
